Class description
Hatha Yoga consists of a series of stretching, toning and strengthening postures (asanas), deep relaxation, and a set of breathing practices (pranayama) that will leave you feeling tranquil and refreshed.
Easy Hatha Yoga is a hatha yoga class designed for people with conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, stroke damage, multiple sclerosis, and depression. We use chairs or props for many of the postures and the general rhythm of the class is nice and easy. Our easy yoga class is a safe, gentle and non-competitive program that anyone can do.
Preparation
Dress in loose, comfortable clothes.
Bring a mat (or a large towel) and a pillow.
Bring a blanket if you tend to get cold during deep relaxation.
Try not to eat for a couple of hours before class, as it will make your postures uncomfortable.
Please refrain from wearing strong perfume and big jewelry.
Please silence all cell phones and pagers before entering class.
