Walk NH Week 2010 June 1-7
Celebrate this special week and join us
for 7 one to two mile walks!
No registration needed, just meet us at the New Boston Town Hall at the time stated for each walk. All are welcome.
June 1 - Walk the Scoffield trail. Meet at New Boston Town Hall at 5:30pm.
June 2 - Walk the center of town while participating in an architectural scavenger hunt. Meet at New Boston Town Hall at 5:30pm.
June 3 - Walk a loop aroung town including the 4-H Fairgrounds. Meet at the New Boston Town Hall at 5:30pm.
June 4 - "Frog Rock Walk". Meet at the New Boston Town Hall at 5:30pm.
June 5 - Clark Easement walk sponsored by the PLC. Meet at the New Boston Town Hall at 9:00 AM.
June 6 – Middle Branch Trail walk sponsored by the Conservation Commission. Meet at the New Boston Town Hall at 1:00PM.
June 7 - Recreation Department Walk. Meet at the New Boston Town Hall at 5:30PM.
New Boston will celebrate Walk NH Week 2010 with a weeklong schedule of walks around our community. The walks are sponsored by the New Boston Recreation Department, Foot Traffic and Road Safety Committee, Conservation Committee and the Piscataquog Land Conservancy. We will join other groups throughout New Hampshire in recognizing Walk NH Week 2010 by holding a series of community walks.
Walk NH Week is an event designed to encourage people of all ages to get out, get moving and participate in a one to three mile community walk. Governor John Lynch has proclaimed June 1st through June 7th Walk NH Week as a way to promote walking and help keep New Hampshire residents on a healthy path.
