Winter Parking and
Snow Removal Ordinance
A. PARKING DURING SNOW STORM
1. From November 1 to April 1 of each year, no person shall park any motor vehicle on any public highway between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM or at any other time in such a manner as to impede snow removal operations and or winter maintenance.
2. Any vehicle parked in violation of Section 1 hereof may be authorized to be towed by the Director of Public Works, Chief of Police or their agents, or by independent contractors engaged by the said Director of Public Works or Chief of Police; any vehicles so towed shall be stored and released to the owner only upon payment of the cost of towing as established from time to time by the Town Council.
3. Any person violating Section 1 hereof shall be subject to a penalty not to exceed $50 for each offense.
B. PLACING SNOW UPON CERTAIN STREETS AND ROADS
1. No person shall put or place or cause to be put or placed any snow or ice upon the surface of the traveled portion of any Class V or Class IV highway.
2. Any person violating these by-laws Section B.1 shall be subject to a penalty not exceeding the following:
First Offense: written warning
Second Offense: $50 penalty
Third Offense: $100 penalty
