Lyndeboro Area Information
This land, 41.98 acres along the Piscataquog River was acquired through the Land Conservation Investment program by the Town of New Boston. It was purchased from Charles and Frances Towne.

This pristine property is managed for low-impact river-front recreational uses.

Natural footpaths follow the slow moving river that is used for fishing and other recreational activities.

While enjoying the area look for: otter slides, beaver activity, the granite bridge abutments sitting on submerged logs, water fowl including ducks and blue heron and a variety of soft and hard woods.

There is also a spectacular glacial esker rising next to the river on the westerly part of the property.

The Conservation Areas require seasonal maintenance. The Commission invites New Boston residents and others to join us in this work. Please contact the Conservation Commission if you are interested.
