Absentee Ballot Information

Absentee Ballots are available for each election (State, Federal and Town) for registered voters who will be absent from the Town on Election Day or who are disabled and unable to come to the polling place. Please see RSA 657.  

These ballots are available at the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours.

You may download the current absentee ballot request form, for Town and School elections, fill it out and either mail it or bring it in.

You may download the current absentee ballot request form, for Federal and State elections, fill it out and either mail it or bring it in.

If you are in the military and are stationed overseas, you may request an application form via email and we will mail you the necessary paperwork along with the absentee ballot.  Please be sure to do this far enough in advance to plan for the mailing times.

In all cases, please be sure to note the address where the absentee ballot should be mailed.

ATTENTION!!

Absentee ballots may only be handed out by the Town Clerk or the Deputy Town Clerk.

Absentee ballots CANNOT be dropped off by anyone other than the absentee voter.
If you are not able to drop off the absentee ballot it MUST be mailed through the US Post Office.

ONLY the Town Clerk or the Deputy Town Clerk can receive a dropped off absentee ballot

ABSENTEE BALLOTS RECEIVED IN ANY OTHER METHOD WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.


Voting via an absentee ballot - if hand-delivered, absentee ballots must be received by 5:00 PM the day before the election.  If mailed, absentee ballots must be received by 5:00 PM on Election Day.  

No absentee ballots may be accepted by hand on Election Day.
